Open doors night is not a performance. Tables stay messy on purpose. Mentors and families walk the floor and talk to the people who built the work—not to a slide deck.
The best conversations started with simple questions: what broke first? what would you rebuild? why this approach? Students answered with the confidence that only comes from owning the process.
We closed with sticky notes of next steps and a few new mentor connections. Community nights work when curiosity is louder than applause.
