Shipping a dashboard in two sprints
How a small team scoped, built, and handed off a working admin view.

Two sprints. One admin dashboard. Zero room for feature fantasy. We cut the backlog to three screens and one happy path: see status, filter by semester, export a clean table.
Sprint one locked layout and empty states. Sprint two wired real data and error handling. Daily standups were short—blockers only. Anything that did not serve the happy path waited.
Hand-off day was a walkthrough, not a pitch. The receiving team clicked through the flows and filed two bugs we fixed before lunch. Shipping small beats promising large.
