Calibration before creation

Creation without calibration is guesswork. We start every fab session by zeroing tools, checking stock, and reading the tolerance line out loud so nobody invents their own standard mid-cut.

The checklist is boring on purpose: measure twice, mark once, confirm units, clear the bed. New students roll their eyes until the first scrap pile appears—and then they ask for the list.

When calibration is shared, the room moves faster later. Mistakes still happen, but they are instructive instead of chaotic. That is the craft we are trying to build.
